BRIDGE OF WEIR COMMUNITY COUNCIL
MINUTES


Of an extra meeting held on Wednesday 8th August 2007 at 7.30pm in The Royal British Legion Club, Bridge of Weir.

PRESENT: Sandy Clark, Jim Ellis, Sandra Liddell, Andrew Crawford, Tom Fulton, Donald McKenzie, Nicholl Gardner, Patricia Allan, Margaret Mills.

This meeting was called during the recess to discuss items that had been received during July that required attention before our September meeting.


COMMUNITY PLANNING:

This was discussed in depth and the document will be sent in time for the 17th August.

There are three dates for the Community Planning workshop, the Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary are going to attend the one in Reid Kerr College on Friday 14 September.


LOCAL LICENSING FORUM FOR RENFREWSHIRE.


Although the date for reply to this has passed a letter was sent to the managing solicitor explaining that we were in recess and annual leave, but a meeting had been arranged for the 8th August due to pressure of business, when we would discuss this. There was nobody willing to put themselves forward for this forum, a letter will be sent informing them of our decision.


SIGNING PROJECT AND CORE PATHS CONSULTATION:

Kate Cuthbert, Access Officer, Renfrewshire Council will be attending the meeting on 4th September.

There should be two additions to the Core Paths in Bridge of Weir -
    A link from Houston Road to the Dam.link
    A link from Lawmarnock Road to the old Castle ruins.

SEPTEMBER MEETING:

The Chairman laid out the proposed timetable for this meeting. Iain Hamilton, Head of Roads has been invited, there has been no reply to date, and e.mail has been sent asking for a response. If he cannot manage a suggestion of the AGM was made.

Margaret Hay from Turning Point has requested to attend with an update and further programme for Woodside.

Kate Cuthbert, Access Officer will also be attending.

A visit to the Fire Service in mid October will be arranged with Paul Devlin.
