Challenge Match Bridge of Weir 2   Warwickshire 3

"Organised by the Bridge of Weir club, a Scottish ice hockey trip was made to Birmingham on Saturday. Actually, only four of the Bridge of Weir club were able to travel but the team was made up by a number of other club men.

Led by L Shaw, who came up from London specially for the match, Warwickshire displayed sparkling form and at times outplayed the Scots. R Milne in goal however was as brilliant as usual and earned great applause.

Bridge of Weir took the lead through R Brown who scored on a pass from W M Muirhead. Old friend, A Brady, got the equaliser for Warwickshire with a rebound and then Shaw flashed through and cleverly beat Milne to take the lead.

W S McLeod put Bridge of Weir level again a terrific puck from the right finding the net but near the end, Shaw scored the winning goal for Warwickshire. J Kenny narrowly missed scoring in the last minute of the match.

Bridge of Weir: R S Milne; W M Muirhead and R Brown; W S McLeod, J Johnstone and A F Reid.- W Fullerton, D Edwards and J Kenny.
