Mitchell Trophy   Bridge of Weir 2   Kelvingrove 0

"In their replayed semi-final tie at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night, Bridge of Weir, this year's Canada Cup winners, qualified to meet Bears in the final of the Mitchell Trophy competition by defeating Kelvingrove.

Play was not so thrilling as in the previous game between the clubs a week ago but Bridge of Weir were easily the better side, attacking well and driving the puck accurately towards goal. A Ross in their goal did not have a really good effort to save throughout the whole game whereas D Cross was continually being tested.

W G McDonald had the first good effort of the game a grand shot being well saved by Cross. At the other end, Ross touched out a puck from the right and R D Gemmell just failed to connect.

W S McLeod scored for Bridge of Weir in the second period after Cross had kept out a good shot from McDonald. Gemmell was then injured and had to retire. McDonald had another shot saved by Cross but later scored a second goal for Bridge of Weir."
